Shinglers and tub

The shingle crew arrived as we were leaving for Salvage Haven (2690 Wm Penn Ave, (814) 322-1856) near Johnstown. We saw a 4' and a 4.5' clawfeet tubs, fair interior condition but not very good outside.  We bought the 4.5', piled it in the truck and came along home.  The first question is how to refurbish it. And the second question is how much more than the cost of the new tub will the bill for refurbishing be?
After prep work on Friday Jan 22, laying the rubber fabric along the roof edges and the vapor barrier, Deck Armor, on the rest of the roof, our roofing crew was at work on Saturday, trying to stay ahead of the wet weather expected on Sunday and Monday. They had to do a lot of step flashing along the dormers which is time-consuming. They were able to install the shingles on most of the front of the front roof, including over the tops of the two dormers.
Reading again The Jungle(Sinclair) ****Especially good after viewing Food, Inc or reading any of Michael Pollan's books, although the ending still seemed abrupt and unfulfilling.
