Dave friendly lasagna

1.5 boxes sweet red pepper soup
1 lb each ground beef and ground pork
mushrooms, sliced and diced
homemade ricotta and mozzerella made from 1 gal (each) whole milk
1 (or 2) egg
(some) parmesan
lasagna noodles
herbs as desired (oregano, basil, whatever)

  1. Brown meat and mushrooms (add onion and garlic if this isn't for Dave), drain and save fat for chickens
  2. add soup (or half soup and half tomato sauce if this isn't for Dave)
  3. let simmer to thicken
  4. combine ricotta, egg, parmesan (spinach would be good here too)
  5. begin layering in a 8x12" glass pan "meat sauce, noodles, cheese mixture" repeat, ending with sauce to cover all noodles
  6. add more soup to cover noodles as necessary
  7. end with mozzerella slices
Bake 375 for 1 hr or so or until noodles are soft.  Be sure to bake on a cookie pan to prevent a messy oven.
