In 2003 we bought 58.92 acres on a hillside in Julian, Pa. We call it our Barony and this is its unfolding chronicle. Construction of Phase I (Carriage House) ended in 2004; Phase II (Main House) ended in 2010. Phase III is never ending. Visitors to our tale are invited to leave a comment.

Closing on the Barony
The land was officially ours on Aug 8, 2003. Our nearest neighbors have begun to dug the foundation for their log home. We met with Chuck Herr, Septic Designer, to plot out the plan. He'll work with Joe Hall, Septic Enforcement Officer for Huston Twp, to make it work. Ameron will design and build the road. We've also contacted the DCNR Forester Tim Cole and private land and timber consultant Steve Chilcote to set up a plan for the Forest Stewardship Program so we can get some state help in correcting the logging abuses and general neglect of the forest.
