The office was a twitter (having nothing to do with tweeting or tweetpeeps and other forms of social networking, btw) because we had the first snow of the season today. Some Clearfield County schools opened 2 hours late and some closed early. We didn't have that much, but still, we had enough to see that winter has arrived. Now: for an Indian Summer. The chickens would appreciate that as would the engineer and carpenter who will be finishing the winter quarters soon.
After standing in line for an hour and a half outside Rec Hall last night to hear Sarah Palin talk we knew that winter was here. It took the entire 2 and a half hours for my improperly shoed feet to thaw. It was fun to be part of the event with 7,000 of our closest friends, but I'm not going to make lines part of my life.
