Perseids

3:00 AM
Adirondack chairs have perfect body fit
A little one
Clear and a million visibility
There’s one
Milky Way seems touchable
Ohh, a long tail
Noise from 220 annoyingly loud
Miraculous sand grains
Acorns raining through leaves
There’s another, and another in the opposite direction
Not dog, not bear, not cat call. So, what is it? getting closer behind me
No mosquitoes, 55 degrees on August night?
50 Perseids
Back to sleep

Earth, Wind and Fire

The Onion may have reported the worst autumn ever, but the leaves here are beautiful. Leaf peeper tourists and homebodies alike are loving the colors this year.
Prince Cheeks and I went out on the deck to watch the chickens and saw the fire in the wind. The sun and clouds aligned just right to light the morning sky.
