We woke to a Penn State sky today, perhaps an omen for the Rose Bowl tonight. Since it was such a clear day we drove to Skytop to take our biannual photos. I don't think the picture has changed much from last year. We can still see the house but not the Toy Shed or the Chicken Coop. The aspen stand is apparent because of the bare trunks.
The chickens enjoyed a few hours in the sun. They don't venture far from their front door but the cold doesn't bother them at all. They just fluff up and go on about their business. Their wattles and combs are turning redder but they don't squat when I run my hand down their backs, so I think eggs are still a ways off.
We received a cute foot mat for the front door that has "feet you may meet" but it doesn't have this track. We found the track by looking out the side window over the hose area. There is an entrance to the critter's winter home under one of the stones, but what critter is it? The track looks more like a tire track than footprints, I think.
