Chestnut pins

Here are a few pictures of my latest project. The larger of the two resulted in a single pin, while the smaller log section ended up as two junior sized pins.

I ended up turning 3 full sized pins and two junior sized pins.  The diameters of the barrels of the rolling pins were dictated by imperfections in the log sections, so although I would have preferred to make the 3 full sized pins all with the diameter of the largest pin, the subsequent pins have progressively smaller barrel diameters.  The junior pins were a result of a smaller diameter log section that has a curve in it, so the final diameters of the smaller pins were smaller that I intended, but they seem to be in proportion to their smaller sizes.
