Here are a few
pictures of my latest project. The larger of the
two resulted in a single pin, while the smaller log section ended up as two
junior sized pins.
I ended up turning 3
full sized pins and two junior sized pins.
The diameters of the barrels of the rolling pins were dictated by
imperfections in the log sections, so although I would have preferred to make
the 3 full sized pins all with the diameter of the largest pin, the subsequent
pins have progressively smaller barrel diameters. The junior pins were a result of a smaller
diameter log section that has a curve in it, so the final diameters of the
smaller pins were smaller that I intended, but they seem to be in proportion to
their smaller sizes.
