A grown-up house

We now have wi-fi and Internet access that makes us feel like we live in the 21st century even in rural Julian.  The Starlink antenna was installed last Friday and we immediately hade reasonable speeds.  When the Verizon cell phone is down to 1 bar we can turn on the wifi and we are back in business.  Cutting the Verizon Internet cord on Tuesday.

A company from Lewistown, One Stop, actually climbed the ladder to install the antenna.

Because the Carriage House roof doesn't have good access we put it on the main house.  Therefore I get better speeds than Paul does.

Storm has felt left out when the boys go for walks.  We got her a flea and tick collar and a fancy harness and bungee leash so now she can take walks too.  She steps right out and doesn't let the equipment bother her.   We went down the Jennifer Trail to the first cutoff, then around the hemlock and headed for home.  At the final turn she sat down, either interested in the woodland sounds or tired.  I carried her home where she flopped on the cool breezeway tile.

These fur kids are impressive timekeepers/  At 7:00 pm they start begging for their whipped cream treat.  at 8:30 Storm want to play with her fishing rod critter, and at 9:00 she heads down stairs for her bedtime dry snack before racing to the breezeway for her wet food 2nd dinner.  Neither are ever more than a few minutes early or late.  They have their morning routines down too, but that varies by 15 minutes.
