No groundhogs, 1 small black rat snake in the driveway warming in the late afternoon sun. It only got to the high 60s so this guy had some serious warming to do. No deer tonight, but Richard says he has seen 6 on his game camera by his food plot: 1 preggers and one buck. However, Paul has a family of starlings (probably) nesting over the Carriage House bathroom. We've seen them flying in and out and he hears scrabbling. He thinks the babies are about to fledge then he'll go up in the attic, remove the box over the vent and cover the hole they are getting in.
I spent the morning catching up on my Guild Annual Challenge quilts. The RWB on has the official challenge center of Dresden fans, but the red and white outer border is asymmetrical by my own design. It gets 2 more official Challenge borders.
The maroon, green and gold is a mariner's star center that has been aging for several years. It's paper pieced and no way was I going to do 5 more of those as the pattern calls for. So, I'm following the Challenge directions to get this baby useable. They are similar (center medallion, piano keys, 3-strata, mountains) but each has her own touch.
