Independence Day Dinner Menu 2009

Red (beets from the Julian Farmers' Market)
White (chicken but not home-grown)
Blue (potatoes as blue as the beets were red from Penn State)

After a long day pulling weeds on the tree line and in the garden as well as multiflora roses on the Sunrise Walk Path our hands are sore. Gambol thought he found some rabbits on the meadow ledge but they were much too close to their holes for him. He worked the ledge over for 30 minutes or more; sometimes he'd leap over the weeds from the high side to the low side and not miss a beat in his pursuit. I think he'd like to invite our dachshund friends to help.
