Gambol DI

Gambol had his first urine test today,  He's concentrating!  Urine was a dark yellow as we'd expect in  the morning.  He saunters out to pee now.  Before the drug he was at specific gravity of 10.3; now it's 10.6.
I believe his attitude is much less agitated overall.  Color me thrilled. So 1 drop in one eye at breakfast and 1 drop in the other eye at dinner.  Test again in 3 months.

Diabetes Insipidus

Gambol has had symptoms of DI for a while now.  His previous vet told me his frequent urination was just marking. We changed vets who agreed to run some tests. His urine is light even first thing in the morning.  His kidneys are normal, He doesn't have glucose in his urine or any of the other easy to diagnose problems that would cause frequent urination. So, we are going to try Desmopressin an antidiuretic.  He'll get 1 drop 2 times a day in his eyes to start.  So far, (3 drops) he's no minded the refrigerated drop, but there has been peanut butter available as his reward.
